A tornado was spotted passing through the town of Three Hills in Alberta, Canada this past Friday (June 2, 2017) and photographer Vance Neudorf was nearby and took the amazing timelapse embedded above. Also nearby was Cecilia Wessels, who took the candid photo below of her husband Theunis, mowing the lawn despite the looming twister behind him.
Photograph by Cecilia Wessels In an interview with the National Post, Cecilia adds: “I literally took the picture to show my mum and dad in South Africa, ‘Look there’s a tornado,’ and now everyone is like, ‘Why is your husband mowing the lawn?'” Cecilia’s husband Theunis also adds: “It looks much closer if you look in the photo, but it was really far away. Well, not really far, far away, but it was far away from us. I was keeping an eye on it.”
